Ares, You Make Me Better

When we first learned about Ares’ Down syndrome diagnosis through a NIPT test, we felt a mix of emotions: sad, afraid, and nervous about the unknown. Not because of his diagnosis, but because, like any parent, we never want our child to struggle. We just wanted the very best for him.

But Ares has shown us something so much bigger.

We don’t see a diagnosis. We see our happy baby who loves his balloons, his hugs, and his kisses. We see joy. We see strength. We see pure love.

Despite everything he’s faced, Ares has been nothing but brave and strong. He continues to teach us what resilience truly looks like.

He has brought so much love, light, and purpose into our lives. What once felt unknown has become one of our greatest blessings.

We are also incredibly grateful for Jack’s Basket for reminding us that we are not alone and that our baby is celebrated exactly as he is.
