Liana, You Make Me Better
When our sweet Liana was born, her diagnosis was unexpected. Like many parents, the news wasn’t delivered gently, and at first, we felt fear and sadness. We worried about her future, but God reminded us to trust Him and be patient.
Slowly, Liana began to show us that she will always have a place where she is appreciated, valued, and surrounded by kindness. Over time, those early fears turned into joy, hope, and a deeper kind of love.
As her mom, many have told me, “There’s a reason why Liana was given to you.” I’m still discovering that reason, but little by little, it’s unfolding. Finding Jack’s Basket helped me realize that part of our purpose is to share kindness, spread hope, and celebrate other babies with Down syndrome, just as they celebrated us.
Liana has made us better. She is our sunshine, our rainbow, and our reminder that life, even with challenges, is beautiful and always worth celebrating.
